FIU wishes to use the 653 tag for controlled terms in its art slide cataloging project, with the label INDEX TERMS. In LTTF, view the Long display (F10) of record# AAA8601. Would other libraries find it useful or harmful if the 653 field displays in the Visual Format? The indexing of 653 is a separate issue -- if a tag is keyword- or MHI-indexed in one format, it must be indexed in all formats. Please comment!
