The Public Services and Technical Services Planning Committees are re-constituting
the Format Integration Task Force. The group includes 5 interested public
services and technical services staff from the SUS libraries. Its charge
is to advise on the new/revised OPAC labels needed for the newly legal
MARC tags resulting from the implementation of format integration. This
process will entail reviewing all the existing OPAC field labels.
The task force will aim to complete its work by April 1, at that time
making a recommendation to both Planning Committees. Upon acceptance,
the recommendation will be forwarded to the directors, then to FCLA for
implementation.
